In an effort to keep our streets safe this Halloween, McDivitt Law Firm is once again providing free cab rides to anyone who needs to get home safe after a night of celebration. The Get Home Safe program is through Yellow Cab in Colorado Springs and City Cab in Pueblo, and will be offered between 10:00pm on October 31, 2013 through 3:00am on November 1, 2013.
We have seen, too clearly, the devastation that can be caused by just one drunk drivers bad decision,” says Mike McDivitt, CEO of McDivitt Law Firm. “If this can keep anyone else from making the same kind of mistake, its worth it.
McDivitt has been offering the program since 2007 and has given more than 8,000 safe rides home to residents of Southern Colorado. The firm will pick up the tab for any Yellow Cab or City Cab ride, as long as the passengers are headed home the free ride is not available from a bar or a restaurant to another drinking establishment. (See below for all the guidelines).

Guidelines for a Ride Home on McDivitt
The Get Home Safe Cab Ride Home program is for adults who have been drinking or who dont have a safe way home. Rides are provided to an individuals residencenot to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on Halloween, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate all requests. Patrons must remove masks or other facial coverings, and drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares. Patrons are reminded to tip their drivers accordingly.

To assist in the fight against drunk driving, the firm encourages individuals to make responsible choices by providing free cab rides on St. Patricks Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, and New Years Eve.
